How we collect, use and protect your personal data
Effective date: 16 October 2026
At Magenx Commerce, your trust matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our online store, create an account, place an order or contact us; why we use it; who we share it with; how long we keep it; and the rights you have.
It applies to all of our store websites, our customer account area, our emails and our customer service channels.
1Who is responsible for your data
The controller responsible for processing your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws is:
Magenx Commerce St. Petersburger Str. 30A 20355 Hamburg Germany Email: support@magenx.cloud
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your data, you can reach our data protection team at the email address above, marked "Data Protection". Where we are legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer, you can contact them at the same address.
2Personal data we collect
We collect only the data we need to run our store, fulfil your orders and improve our service. Depending on how you interact with us, this includes:
Data you give us
Account data: name, email address, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), date of birth and gender if you choose to provide them, and your saved billing and shipping addresses.
Order data: products purchased, prices, delivery and billing address, phone number, delivery preferences, chosen payment and shipping methods, invoices, shipments and returns.
Payment data: card and wallet payments are handled directly by our payment service providers. We never see or store your full card number or security code; we only receive a confirmation, the payment method type, and limited details such as the last four digits and expiry date.
Communications: messages you send us through the contact form, support tickets, email, return and withdrawal requests, including any attachments.
Content you publish: product reviews and ratings, together with the display name you choose.
Preferences: wishlists, price and back-in-stock alerts, subscriptions, rewards program activity, newsletter choices, language and store selection, and your cookie consent choices.
Data we collect automatically
Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring website, pages visited, date and time of access. Our servers record this in log files to deliver the website securely.
Usage and analytics data: how you browse and interact with our store (for example products viewed, items added to the cart, searches), collected only with your consent as described in Cookies and analytics.
Security signals: to protect forms against bots and abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which evaluates browser and device signals without requiring you to solve puzzles.
Data we receive from others
Social sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address and a unique account identifier from that provider. We do not receive your password.
Payment providers: payment status, fraud screening results and, for wallet payments such as PayPal, the name and address stored in your wallet.
Carriers: delivery status and tracking events for your shipments.
AI shopping assistants: if you place an order with us through a third-party AI assistant or agent platform that you have authorised, we receive the order, contact and delivery details that platform passes to us to complete your purchase.

4Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies – for example to keep you signed in, remember your cart and language, and protect sign-in against forgery – are always active because the store cannot work without them.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager) are only set if you accept the "Analytics" category in our cookie banner. Until you consent, Google Consent Mode is set to "denied" and no analytics cookies are stored. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
A full, up-to-date list of every cookie we use, its purpose and its lifetime is available in our Cookie Policy.
5Newsletter and marketing
We only send marketing emails if you have subscribed. When you sign up, we send a confirmation email to verify your address (double opt-in). Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also manage your subscription in your account. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address on a suppression list only to make sure you are not contacted again.
Where the law permits, we may send existing customers information about similar products by email. You can object to this at any time, free of charge, using the link in each email.
6Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
Payment service providers such as Stripe and PayPal, to process your payment and prevent fraud. They act as independent controllers for some processing and have their own privacy policies.
Shipping and logistics partners, who receive your name, delivery address and, where needed for delivery notifications, your email address or phone number.
IT and service providers that host our infrastructure, send our emails, provide customer service tools, protect our forms (Cloudflare) and provide analytics (Google). They process data only on our instructions under data processing agreements.
Sign-in providers (Google, Apple) if you choose to use them.
Map services: our contact page may embed Google Maps to show our locations; Google receives your IP address when the map loads.
Professional advisers such as tax advisers, auditors and lawyers, who are bound by confidentiality.
Public authorities, courts and law enforcement, where we are legally required to do so or to protect our rights.
A buyer or successor, if all or part of our business is sold or merged, subject to this Privacy Policy.
7International data transfers
We are based in the European Union, and we aim to process your data within the EU/EEA. Some of our service providers (for example Google, Stripe, PayPal and Cloudflare) may process data in countries outside the EEA, including the United States.
When this happens, we make sure your data is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission (including the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework for certified companies) or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us.

11How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) across the entire store, hashed passwords, httpOnly session cookies that page scripts cannot read, access controls on a need-to-know basis, regular security updates and monitoring.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please keep your password confidential and sign out on shared devices. If we become aware of a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the authorities where required by law.
